I write about marketing and mediapolitics.
In the past, I've worked at Digital division of the jumbo PR shop Edelman, and at the fast and lean startup marketing firm, Velocidi. I've consulted on communications strategy for a hedge fund.
These days, I write for Econsultancy, which is where most of my blogging energy has been going. My author page is here.
I am also the Director of Operations and Development at The Cluster Mag.
I am the executive producer of Tek Life, a documentary film currently in production that is about contemporary Chicago house music styles. This project has recieved grants from The Wellspring Foundation and the Harvard Hip Hop Archive.
I've interviewed the author and Studio 360 radio host Kurt Andersen about his first novel, Turn of the Century.
I studied Culture and Media at the New School.

Comparing Abel Ferrara and Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant
A critique of Walter Benjamin, posing as a Benjamin-ic analysis of Lady Gaga that also challenges ideas of pure-textual communication (and the followup argument with my grader, explaining what the hell the essay is about).
I write fiction
and make "new media art" or not.
Occasionally I front an industrial folk band named Flotzy.
